I'm Prouder than the President

Ever since I was a boy I've been thanking the Lord that I am one of the luckiest people on God's green earth because I live in the United States of America.

As many have said before me; the history of the world is of oppression. A few elites have always ruled the masses with an iron fist. The freedom enjoyed by Americans is the rare exception.

So it's rather depressing to awaken every morning with knowledge that the President of the United States is activity attempting to scale back such freedom because he is not proud of his country.

The only country in the history of the world that has always placed the rights of the individual over hindering freedom in favor of the so-called, "good of the community" is in the process of being destroyed by her highest elected official.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, his wife told millions that she had never been proud of her country until that moment; the moment her husband was one step away from residing in the White House.

I have always been proud of the United States of America.

The man entrusted with the job of protecting the United States was not proud of her until he was extremely close to being in a position where he could fundamentally change her into a place over which he had total control.

Now his Democrat yes-men are making back room deals, which, for the first time in the history of America, will make not purchasing something from a private company punishable by a stint jail.

It makes Mr. Obama proud to take away the freedom which allows you to remain health-insurance free.

Mr. Obama receives pride from reducing the freedom of individuals; freedom thousands of brave men and women died to grant us.

The President takes pride in reducing your opportunity to succeed.

The President takes pride in limiting choice.

It's simply a shame that if I, an ordinary American, were to converse with President Obama about the United States; I would have to defend her against his verbal attacks.

Beware the Thinker

Democrats want you to beware of a certain type person. They don't want you to go near this type of person. Don't approach them. Don't look them directly in the eye and certainly don't engage them in conversation.

The person they want you to avoid is the thinker.

Thinkers are vile people, in the mind of a Democrat.

The thinker will tell you that you are much better at making life-altering decisions for yourself than the government.

How dare they?

Democrats want you to call the government if you get sick. They'll tell you which doctor to see, schedule the appointment, notify you of what's wrong, and then inform you when to return for any further treatment they deem necessary. The payment will come out of your paycheck, and even though you'll be paying more, you won't understand this and therefore not get angry when you have to pay the bill, because you won't directly have to pay a dime. No thinking required there.

The thinker will try and persuade you to believe that you and your doctor are better at making decisions regarding your overall health than a bureaucrat in Washington.

The nerve.

The thinker will tell you that you should be allowed to allocate your money the way you darn well please. That you should be able to decide how much to put aside for retirement and how much to invest in case of an emergency, and where you should put that money; because it's up to the individual to prepare for emergencies, as with freedom comes great responsibility.

Those disgraceful thinkers.

The Federal Government wants to take your money away, while you're young, and give it back when you're old in order to make sure you don't squander your future. The bureaucrat believes that if you're able to hold on to every cent you earn, after taxes, you'll never have the financial means to retire.

In other words: the thinker wants you to work forever.

Don't let the thinker convince you that you should have total control over your life, because you need help. You don't have time to read The Wall Street Journal from cover to cover each day. And without government oversight, as President Obama has said; your doctor will likely perform unnecessary procedures just to make an extra buck. He'll cut you up for the cash.

Healthcare and investing for your future are just two areas where thinking can get you into serious trouble, but hopefully Mr. Obama will reduce the amount of thinking you're required to do even more.

In the future, you'll likely not be required to think about the temperature of your home, the kind of car you purchase, or the type of food you consume. Someone in Washington will make all those decisions for you.

And so what if you can't set your thermostat at the ideal level to where you experience maximum comfort; you don't have any control of the temperature outside and you're always going there.

The U.S. Government will make these and other decisions for the simple reason they know what's best for you and the entire "community."

So continue disparaging the thinker without a thought about what they stand for, because specific reasoning as to why conservatives on talk radio are as divisive as they are disgraceful is completely unnecessary.

Don't give the thinker any satisfaction: turn off your brain and enjoy life!

Sanity Shouldn't Be Politically Incorrect

If you're trying to eliminate the Crips and the Bloods, you're not going to shake down Caucasian grandmothers, are you? You're not even going to shake down African-American grandmothers!

While attempting to remove a Hispanic gang from the streets of your town, law enforcement officers aren't going to target Asian people, are they?

Of course not.

But we don't want to offend non-terrorist Arab males in their twenties and thirties by making them go through an additional layer of security at the airport even though there is no way such profiling could offend a rational person of any faith or ethnicity.

If you're cracking down on an Asian gang because they've been wreaking havoc in the community, and you stop to question an innocent Asian man, he's not going to call the ACLU if he has any common sense, because the crack down will assist him in staying alive!

We've got to stop bending over backwards in an attempt not to offend the irrational; just like we've got to stop trying to appease Al-Qaeda, because both tasks are impossible.

Terrorists are never going to be satisfied with concessions made by their targets and live in peace and harmony, and irrational human beings are never going to say, "Oh, that makes sense, I'll relax now," when confronted with sanity. Their inability to utter such words in the face of reason is what makes them irrational.

But we have officials in Washington that continually try to appease the unappeasable.

It's a crying shame our government doesn't make decisions based on how rational people will react. It's an even bigger shame innocent lives are at risk as a result.
