Failure was the Goal

President Barack Obama recently insisted that he'd rather be a great one-term president than a mediocre two-term president.

Were he ever hired into the private sector, I'm sure Mr. Obama would have informed his boss, "I'd rather be a great employee and get fired on the first day than a mediocre employee who spends a lifetime working for your company."

Mr. Obama has a burning desire to exit the White House after only four years while citizens of the United States scream, "Why did you pass healthcare, we hate it!" and, "Why didn't you focus on jobs, we need them!" To hear those words after being prematurely voted out of office would make Obama feel as if he did a bang-up job.

I'm sure academics would agree with him.

In the chapter entitled, "The Greatest President Ever" words similar to the ones below would appear in textbooks across the country.

"What made President Obama special was his ability to ignore the wishes of the American people. He knew what was best for both his subjects, as well as the entire population of earth. Because most citizens of the United States are natural born oppressors who value their own selfish desires over the good of humanity, Mr. Obama's only chance to improve mankind was to implement unpopular policies the ignorant masses didn't realize would benefit their future. He selflessly sacrificed a second term so his people could live better lives and social justice could be achieved."

As president, Mr. Obama has spent many days apologizing for the past actions of the United States. He has vowed to change our self-indulgent behavior for the betterment of the world.

Such apologies and promises are akin to Mr. Obama saying to his private sector employer, "I will not strive to help us sell more of the products we manufacture. Selling more than our fair share harms the environment and leads to the concentration of excessive wealth in our bank account. Have you ever stopped to think about the bank accounts of your competitors? My job, as your employer, is to make sure the ledger sheet of you and your peers are equal. If you think, because you sign my paycheck, I will only help you succeed; you're not a part of the global world. I care about the well being of your competitors more than I care about the well being of this company. The first thing I must do is speak to the boards of our rivals and make sure they understand how sorry we are for making superior products. I will inform them that our success was before my arrival and will not continue on my watch."

President Obama's only concern is bringing everybody down. If he was hired by Nike to sell shoes, he would not take it upon himself to create new marketing strategies that benefit Nike, rather he would damage the once great company so much that the longtime maker of Air Jordan's would eventually have sales receipts equaling those of Dan's Discount Injury-Inducing Shoe Company.

A fictitious private sector Barack Obama wouldn't concern himself with employees of the company he ran into the ground, just like the very real President Obama has made it perfectly clear that he's unmoved by the plight of the unemployed in America.

Before the entire company went bankrupt, "private sector Obama" would elevate the status of its lower level workers. Though they did nothing to deserve a promotion, he would make them equal to those who for years had toiled tirelessly to help the company prosper.

In order to justify his actions, Mr. Obama would ridicule and demean the accomplishments of the successful.

It perfectly sums up liberalism: hard work deserves criticism. Excellence deserves accusations of corruption. A mentality of entitlement deserves honor.

It's backwards.

It's liberalism.

What else would you expect from people who swell with pride after having failed the entire country?

It was their goal from day one.
